Gordon Malar Obituary
In loving memory of Gordon Malar (Hamilton, Ontario), who departed this world on April 30, 2025 at the age of 82. Gordon leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Malar and Anna Malar; and his brother Ted Malar. He is survived by: his wife Marion (Nichol); his children, David (Angi), Laura (Brent), Joanne (Delano) and Theresa (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Desmond, Liam, Mateo, Nathan, Ayden, Ary, Hudson, Makena and Remy; and his sisters, Leasa and Zina (Bob).
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Homes (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Waterfront Banquet & Conference Centre (555 Bay St N, Hamilton, ON L8L1H1). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (580 Old York Rd, Burlington, ON L7P4Y6).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society—or to a charity of your choice in Gord's memory.
