She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tula and Roopwanti (Ruth); and her son John. She is survived by: her husband Reginald Jivan Boodhoo; her children, Alison of Fogarty's Department Store, Bryan (Brigitte) and Elizabeth (late Lawrence); and her granddaughter Aïssa (Felix).

“During my early teenage years, Grace used to take me to St. Mary's cathedral in Georgetown for the 7:00 pm mass on Sundays. This changed to attending service in a Presbyterian church. Her calm encouragement during those years were special to me. As adults, we often met for lunch/coffee and exchanged our life experiences and the challenges we both faced sometimes. I cherish those times with my older cousin. I will remember her for the role she played in my life...quiet but meaningful”
