Helen left this world on January 4, 2026 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Kazimierz Jakubow; her children, Ted and Chris (Dane); her sibling Pola Pisarczyk; and her daughter Helen. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Home (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Church (8 Saint Ann St, Hamilton, ON L8L3A6). A burial was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1S9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada are greatly appreciated by the family.
