She was predeceased by : her parents, Katie Ternowski and Ludwig Ternowski; her stepfather Steve Belitski; her siblings, Joe, John (Steffie), Mike, Frank, Peter (Minnie) and Anne Skihar (Mathew); her close friends, Casha Gradzki, Marion Alder and Jean Soltyka; and also Edmund Genoway.

She is survived by : her sister Elsie Genoway of Rama, SK; and her friend Cecile Volf. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Helen's memory to Idlewyld Manor (Palliative Care), or to a charity of your choice.
