He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Isabel Fairles; and his son Steven (Marie-Helen Lessard). He is survived by: his parents, Elmer Ratz and Emily Ratz; his children, Clare and Thomas (Michele); his grandchildren, Derek Ratz, Sebastien Ratz, Hailie, Charles, Nicholas Pavanel, Brammall Ratz and Willa Ratz; and his friend Carol Fischer.
