Ida Theresa Spilak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ida Theresa Spilak (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Marianna Cerantola (Luigi Castellan); her husband Mike; and her siblings, Ada Gushul (late Bill), Aldo Castellan (late Pearl), Mario Castellan and John Spilak.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Gruhl, Sandra Green (Rob), Richard (Rita) and Brian (Cindy); her grandchildren, Michael, Kelli Gruhl, Christopher, Michelle Campanella, Samantha, Christina Spilak, Benjamin, Hannah Spilak, Alex Musso, Anne-Marie and Sophie Lapierre-Green; and her siblings, Anne Oakes (late Don) and Bill Spilak.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (165 Prospect St N, Hamilton, ON L8L6X8).
In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to the CYO.
