She was predeceased by: her husband Arturo; her parents, Giuseppe Polisini and Francesca Polisini; her parents-in-law, Antonio and Cesira Di Croce; her siblings, Maria (late Benedito), Gabriele (late Gina), Dora (late Leo), Luigi (Carmela), Santina (late Marino) and Valentino (Caterina); and her siblings-in-law, Fiorindo (late Sofia), Giosafato (late Ida) and Renato (late Adelina).
She is survived by: her son Antonio'Tony'; her daughter-in-law Assunta Di Croce; her children, Bruna Ferrara (Gino), Victor Di Croce (Elda), Luciana Hannivan (Douglas), Pia Papaloni and Lina Ditlof (Nick); her granddaughter Silvana De Luca (Frank); and her siblings-in-law, Elisa (late Giuseppe), Maria (late Lorenzo) and Italia (late Carmino). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 2 twin, her many nieces, nephews cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (165 Prospect St N, Hamilton, ON L8L6X8). A burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1S9).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Iolanda's memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
