It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Mary Avelar (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pertak and Justine Pertak. She is survived by: her husband Joe Avelar; her children, Sherri Martin (Matt) and Jason Avelar (Christa); her granddaughters, Tessa and Joia; and her pets, Sophie, Kiki and Myia.
In keeping with COVID-19 precautions and continuing recommendations, the family kindly requests all guests wear a face mask at the Funeral Home and Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Burlington SPCA or Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
