He was predeceased by: his close friend Ljubica Kotaršćak; and his parents, Juraj Kotaršćak and Cvjeta Kotaršćak. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Gabrijel, Rebecca (James), James (Erin) and Matthew (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Isla, Lucy, Edwin and Kayce; his siblings, Juro, Gabrijel, Anna and Slavica; Andrew and Branko (Clara).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burlington - Bay Gardens Cremation, Memorial & Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington, ON L7T1V1). A rosary was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Parish (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9). A burial was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J1).
