The family announces the passing of James Christopher Nicol (Hamilton, Ontario) on September 26, 2026. James, born on December 24, 1955, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Nicol and Jean Nicol; and his mother-in-law Betty McGraw. He is survived by: his wife Frankie McGraw-Nicol; his children, Jennifer, Maureen, Mike, Kevin and Molly; his grandchildren, Zac and Ellie; his siblings, Chisholm, Barb, Andrina, Stephen, Mike and Karin; and his close friend Daisy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Home (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
