In the vast expanse of eternity, Janja shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Janja farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marko Kelava; and her daughter Rosa Kelava. She is survived by: her sons, Jozo'Joe' and John'Ivan'. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A prayer was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church or Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
