He was predeceased by: his wife Odilia Furtado; and his siblings, Jacinto Raposo (Maria), Manuel Raposo (Conceicao), Luiz Raposo (Maria), Jose Raposo (Irene) and Maria Silva (Guilherme).
He is survived by: his children, Maria Guerreiro (Elisio), Jaime Furtado (Anna), Odalia Rebelo (Joe), Helen Furtado and Rob Furtado (Dana); his grandchildren, Jason Guerreiro (Linda), Jenna Rebelo (Mike Nalepa), Megan Reid (James), Brittney De Paola (Mark), Lauren Rebelo (Art), Jesse Lanktree (Shannon), Brian Furtado, Mackenzie Chamberlain (Shane), Jordan Furtado and Dawson Chamberlain; and his sisters, Conceicao Cordeiro (Jose) of Hamilton, Nemesia Campos (Henrique) of Fall River, MA, Senhorinha and Luz of Portugal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
