With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johanna Elizabeth Bowen (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Vehmendahl and Everdina Van Vehmendahl; her siblings, Dirk, Kors, Albert, Jan, Hillegonda and Annie; and her close friends, John Van Heesch, Charles Bowen and Ivan Philp.
She is survived by: her children, Harry Van Heesch (Louise), Dianna Wilk (Jim) and Sonia Johnston (Mark); and her stepchildren, Jim Philp (Bonnie), Gordon Philp, Harold Philp (Brenda), Bonnie and Susan.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Red Cross.
