He is survived by: his wife Anneliese; his children, Rob, Hans, Liz and Alexandra; his grandchildren, Pauline, Alisha, Jonathan and Zuza; his great grandchildren, Theodore, Nicholas, Marshall and Audrey; his siblings, Rose, Cor, Harrie, Agnes, Marie, Jan and Roos; and his granddaughter Alexandra.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Homes (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Raphael's Church (4072 New St, Burlington, ON L7L1S9).
