In loving memory of John Barkovich (Hamilton, Ontario), who departed this world on June 10, 2025 at the age of 88. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anne; his sons, Richard, John (Christina) and David (Maryann); his grandchildren, Matthew (Alexandra), Joshua, Jude, Luke, Mia, Brianna and Alexander; his great grandchildren, Mila, Luna and Mateo; and his siblings, Barbara Frankovich (late Nick), Steve Barkovich (Rebecca) and Anka Boldin (late Franjo).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Parish (304 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, ON L8G1E6).
Donations in John's memory may be made to Holy Cross Parish or Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
