John MacDonald Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 16, 2025, at the age of 85, John MacDonald of Hamilton, Ontario, born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward MacDonald and Mary MacDonald (Breen); his wife Linda MacDonald (Hill); and his siblings, Joe MacDonald, Barbara MacDonald and Jimmy MacDonald.

He is survived by: his siblings, Viola Carmichael (Frank) and Ronnie MacDonald (Alvina); and his children, Laura Parkinson (Derek), Mandy Grieve (John), John MacDonald and David MacDonald (Christine). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Margaret's Place Hospice, Dundas or the Hamilton SPCA - two places that reflect John's heart: full of care for people and animals alike.
