He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Dermody and William Dermody (Bill); his brother Bill; his nieces and nephews, Erin Dermody (Rich Svirga), Andrea Dermody (Patrick Gordon), Clare Duncan (Jay), Paul W. Dermody (Olivia) and Alex Dermody (Paisley); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, William, Vivian Duncan, RJ Svirga and Audrey Gordon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paul (Doris) and Maureen; his sister-in-law Judy; his aunt Vyvyan; and his uncle Russell Reilly.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Home - East Avenue (7 East Avenue S, Hamilton, ON L8N2T3). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (440 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8N1C6).
