He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Diogo and Margarida Diogo; and his siblings, Manuel, Maria and Ilda.

He is survived by: his wife Maria (Raposo); his children, Joe (Lucy) and Nicole Bell (Vaughn); his siblings, Antonio, Henrique, Irene and Margarida; and his close friend Antonio Maciel.
