The memory of Joseph Martin Passmore (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on May 11, 2025 at the age of 67, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. and Marie; and his father-in-law Vincenzo. He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his sons, Eric (Larissa), Michael (Stephanie) and Stephen (Sami); his stepsister Cindy (Larry); his grandchildren, Harper, Mackenzie, Marie, Andrew and Nathan; his mother-in-law Maria; and his siblings-in-law, Dominic (Allison), Sam (Sara), Frank (Enza) and Rose (late Marino). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

“To Joanne and family, so sorry and sad to hear of the passing of Joe. Joe and I would see each other quite a bit during manpower sharing shutdowns as we were both pipefitters, he in the Blast Furnace maintenance department and I in the Coke Oven maintenance department. Joe was a great guy to work with or just to run into to and have a chat... usually cars, he was always happy and easy to get along with. He will be missed by those who knew him, rest in peace my friend. Regards, Mark Towers.”

He always had that smile and funny little giggle. I never saw him angry, he’d just shrug his shoulders and say okay….he never had a bad word to say. He was a true gentleman, and he will be missed.”
