He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Szostak. He is survived by: his children, Ted (Christine), David, Mary Louise and Teri; and his grandchildren, Natasha, Alicia Megan (Travis), Morgan, James, Liam and Nolan.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Home (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
