Josip leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Josip’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anna; his children, Graciela and Danny (Paula); and his siblings, Viktoria (Alexandar), Zorka (Vid) and Janko (Barbara). He was also cherished by his nieces, nephews, kumovi, extended family.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association.
