Juro Laic Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Juro Laic (Hamilton, Ontario) is shared. Juro, born on September 8, 1941, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Juro will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Juro by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Juro is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Juro’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jure Laić and Sofija Laić. He is survived by: his wife Danica Laić; his daughters, Darlene Laić and Lillian Mirić; his child-in-law Edvard Mirić; and his siblings, Ankica Vlašić (Josip), Nikola Laić (Dragica), Katica Rehorić and Mira Arnuga. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9).
