As Karen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Karen leaves behind.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ena Hordyk and Len Hordyk; and her sister Kimberly Griffioen. She is survived by : her children, Karen and Matthew; and her husband Brad Walker. She is also survived by her extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (616 Dundas St E, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Burlington Memorial Gardens (3353 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON L7R3X4). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (616 Dundas St E, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0).
