He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Shaidle; his children, Lynn, Ron and Allan (Sue); his grandchildren, Brad, Jeffrey, Jackie, Kevin, Chris, Lindsay Merker, Monique, Jereme (Kim) and Ashley (Liz); his great grandchildren, Eve, Declan Kachuik (Guelph), Jacob, Alex Shaidle (Ancaster), Victoria (Walkerton), Curtis, Teddy, Halle Shaidle (London), Smith, Poet Merker (London), Olivia, Riley Larkin, Jason, Andrew, Megan Shaidle, Annie, Ellie and Sophie Shaidle-Bell (North Bay); his caregiver Ayo; and his brother Leaf Fans.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Turner Family Funeral Home (53 Main St, Dundas, ON L9H2P7). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Branch 36 Dundas Legion. During the pandemic we were able to have his rye delivered directly to his house from Wiser's.
