It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ljiljana Sormaz (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ljiljana may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Branko. She is survived by: her children, Jelena and Arandjel; her parent Danica Tadic; her siblings, Vesna Ristanovic, Nadezda Tadic, Zivka Zecevic and Jasmina Jovic; and her cousin Kumovi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the L. G. Wallace Funeral Home (151 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H3Z2). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (153 Nash Rd S, Hamilton, ON L8K4J9). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at 753 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, ON L8E5J4.
