He was predeceased by: his son Sean Stirling; his parents, Eldon Stirling and Grace Stirling; and his sister-in-law Shirley Stirling. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Anne Stirling; his nephews, Bruce, Dwayne, David and Jeff; and his niece Nancy.
