She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Pettipas; her son Kevin; her brother Louie Bain; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon, Sherman and Francis.

She is survived by: her children, Todd (Anna Marie) and Michelle (Joe); her grandchildren, Brandon (Stephanie) and Kayli Kachur; her sister Maureen DeCoste (late Roger) of Nova Scotia; and her sisters-in-law, Betty (Jerome) of Nova Scotia, Linda (late Art) of Nova Scotia and Doreen (Jack) of Nova Scotia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and the many wonderful friends.
