He is survived by: his children, Margarida Carvalho (Jose), Rui (Rosemary De Sousa), Simas (Christine Harding), Sergio (Suzanne Caetano) and Daniel; his grandchildren, Verissimo, Euzebio, Samantha, Lucas, Januario Zackary, Agusta, Sylvanna, Aurora Orlando, Levi and Emilio; his great grandchild Amara; and his brother-in-law Bento Faria (Venilde). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
