Though Maria Helena may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria Helena touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband José; and her daughter Lucia (Mark). She is survived by: her children, Abilio (M. J.), Luisa (Armando), Céu (Dave), Adelina and Candido (Marta).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill St N, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (715 Centre Rd, Hamilton, ON L8B1E5). A reception will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciated.
