She is survived by: her children, Sofia, Paulina (Jhonny), Xavier (Bany), Juan Fernando (Rita) and Daniel Sanchez Mantilla (Maria); her grandchildren, Andrea, Raquel, Emily, Eileen, Salome, Ivan, Victoria and Elisa; and her siblings, Estela, Marco, Mary (Tufino), Hugo and Monica Mantilla Proano.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to BCM International designated to the Ecuadorian work of Juan Fernando Sanchez.
