We bid farewell to Markos Psarakis (Hamilton, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 27, 2026 at the age of 92. Markos touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Athanasios (Vasilia), Sarantis and Angelo; and his parents, Matheos Psarakis and Styliani Psarakis.
He is survived by: his spouse Polyxeni; his children, Stella (Nikos), Mathew (Irene), Haralampos (late Rose) and Maria (Angelo); his grandchildren, Fotini (Ilias), Polyxeni (Dimitris), Markos (Aysha), Terry (Brittany), Kristopher (Ashley), Polly (Miguel), Marko, Evanthia (Johnny) and Sozo; his great grandchildren, Ioannis, Efraimia, Kostantinos and Maria; his niece Dr. Stella (Kostas); and his sister Anna (late Kostas).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burlington - Bay Gardens Cremation, Memorial & Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington, ON L7T1V1). A prayer was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (22 Head St, Hamilton, ON L8R1P9). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Woodland Cemetery (700 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J3).
Donations in memory of Markos can be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Hamilton.
