It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Amelia McLaughlin (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Fred Langsford (Donna), John Langsford, Shirley Butaro (Joseph) and Dorothy Fess (Ron); and her siblings-in-law, Margaret McLaughlin, Terrance, Patrick, Rory, Brian McLaughlin and Kenneth Bonham.
She is survived by: her husband Edward McLaughlin (Ted); her children, John Worthy, Robert Worthy (Patricia), Janet Sikiric and Robin Lynn Speagle (Dave); her grandchildren, Jennifer Hines (Kevin), Robert Jr. Worthy (Natalia), Lindsey Whalen (Michael), Alicia Sikiric (JP), Breanne Keith (Brandon), Ryan Sikiric (Alexandra), David and Christy-Leigh Speagle; her brother Charles Langsford (Elsa); and her sisters-in-law, Wendy Langsford, Kay, Doreen McLaughlin and Heather Bonham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish (125 Picton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L0C5).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
