She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Bruce MacDonald; her sister Marjorie Stewart Code; and her parents, Oscar Irwin and Mabel Ida Stewart. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen MacDonald Prine (Ken), Kim MacDonald and Colleen MacDonald Bucholski (John); her grandchildren, Alex Prine, Holly Prine Lo Manto (Charles) and Mark Bucholski; and her sibling Shirley Stewart Pike.

Memorial donations to the Hamilton General Hospital Foundation, in Mary's honour, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
