He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Mike Duranyik, Kim Mowbray (late Bruno Casagrande) and Paul Duranyik (Megan); his grandchildren, Brittany, Alex, Isabelle, Jacob, Mason and Samuel; his great grandchildren, Nicolas and Mikey Karras; and his brother Geza Duranyik (Natavia).
