He is survived by : his spouse Dragica; his children, Zlatica and Miljenko (Maritza); his grandchildren, Peter (Rebecca), Matthew (Rebecca), Amanda (Justin), Deda of Makenna, Mira, Hayden, Wyatt and Colt; his sibling Veronika Sapic; his siblings-in-law, Franjo (late Valeria), Nikola, Zvonko (Zorica) and Stjepan (Visnja); and his friend Germany.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 20th 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 20th 2022 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, November 22nd 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Croatian Church (1883 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V9).
