He was predeceased by : his parents, Dora Blajchman and Joseph Blajchman of Montreal. He is survived by : his wife Janet Blajchman; his children, Yosef Ephraim Blajchman (Miriam) and Aviva Kidorf (Michael); his brother Hyman Blajchman; and his grandchildren, Shua Blajchman, Naomi Shira Blajchman, Meira Kidorf, Atara Kidorf and Yoni Kidorf.

“I was so saddened to hear this news. I first met Mo when I flew to Toronto for my oral hematology exam. He was my examiner. I had no idea who he was, science-wise. He was just this remarkably gentle and supportive person, aiming to calm my frayed nerves as I struggled looking through ancient microscopes to interpret bone marrow disorders. Over the years, we'd meet at conferences where I so enjoyed chatting with him about everything! What a wonderful person who left a wonderful legacy. Ed Conway”
