He is survived by: his wife Janet Blajchman; his children, Yosef Ephraim Blajchman (Miriam) and Aviva Kidorf (Michael); his brother Hyman Blajchman; and his grandchildren, Shua Blajchman, Naomi Shira Blajchman, Meira Kidorf, Atara Kidorf and Yoni Kidorf.

He was just this remarkably gentle and supportive person, aiming to calm my frayed nerves as I struggled looking through ancient microscopes to interpret bone marrow disorders. Over the years, we'd meet at conferences where I so enjoyed chatting with him about everything! What a wonderful person who left a wonderful legacy. Ed Conway”
