It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas Groppo (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Christina Groppo; his children, Nicholas, Domenic and Gia; his parents, Lisa Groppo and Peter Groppo; his parents-in-law, Pam Sienna, Mike Sienna and Anne D'Ambrosio-Sienna; his grandmother Anna Bortolin; his siblings, Gabe Groppo (Jennifer Urech) and Michael Groppo (Rachel Groppo); his siblings-in-law, Paul Sienna, Kim Sienna, Bill D'Ambrosio (Haeley), Jessica Sabec (Johnny) and Joey D'Ambrosio (Cristina); his siblings' children, Rosa-Nina, Fielding, Wells, Lucas, Leah, Sebby, Gianna and Tony; his grandparents, Marco Bortolin, Angelo and Giovannina Groppo; and his uncle Tony Groppo.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7).
