She was predeceased by: her husband Wasyl. She is survived by: her sons, Jaroslaw (Ola), Bohdan (Hanusia) and Peter (Hilde); her grandchildren, Gregory (Oksana), Michael, Mark, Nicholas, Elise (Svein), Marcus, Jacob, Naomi and Esther; her great grandchildren, Zachary and Arianna; and also, Quebec and Hamilton.
Memorial donations in memory of Olena may be made to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress or the Ukrainian Canadian Research & Documentation Centre (UCRDC).
