Petar Preocanin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Petar Preocanin (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nikola and Stana; and his siblings, Sava, Masa and Dusan.
He is survived by: his spouse Bozica; his children, Djuro (Radmila), Nikola (Angela) and Marija (Rob); his sibling Milica (late Milan); his extended family, Kumovi, England and Petar; and his cousin Milos Katic (family: Kumovi Chetnik, Bilic, Stana Vranesevic). He is also survived by his cousins, nephews, nieces.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the L. G. Wallace Funeral Home (151 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H3Z2). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (153 Nash Rd S, Hamilton, ON L8K4J9). A burial was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Nicholas Church or Chetnik Organization would be appreciated.
