He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stuart (Frances Adelaide Mitchell) and Hamilton; and his brothers, David and John. He is survived by: his spouse Beverley McLaren; his daughters, Catherine, Lynsey (Ed Sober), Sandy (Tanya Draker) and Laurie (Matt Crossley); and his grandchildren, Peter Sober (Becky), John Sober (Vicky), Michael Sober, Allyson Sober, Maryn Crossley and Desmond Crossley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chedoke Presbyterian Church (865 Mohawk Rd W, Hamilton, ON L9C7B9). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home (1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington, ON L7T1V1).
