He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Hartnell; his grandchildren, Noah, Eric, Lucy and Henry; his parents, William Hartnell and Bonnie Hartnell; his siblings, Stephen, Stuart (Jennifer), Leslie (Martin) and Louise (Chris); his siblings-in-law, Gisèle, Claude (Hannah) and Donald (Pam); his in-laws, Jean Félix and Edith Desmarais; his brother Paul Hartnell; his friend Bill Young; and his pet Keira. He was also cherished by partner and the love of his life.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Home (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A prayer was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Garnier Roman Catholic Parish (129 Hughson St S, Hamilton, ON L8N2B3).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Threads of Life, an association for workplace tragedy family support, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
