He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and friends.

I moved into St Elizabeth Village 2 years ago and have gotten to know your Dad and Opa as a lovely gentleman. My wee doggy and I would often drop by on our walks to see how Pieter was doing. If we saw him thru the window, there was always waves. We will miss our friend. Sincerely, Roxanne and Marigold Zdunek”
