Ponnamma Easow Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2025, at the age of 86, Ponnamma Easow (Hamilton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ponnamma farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ponnamma is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Arrangattu John Easow; and her children, Jobson, Annie, Johnson, Swani and Ponnamma of Easow's Memory. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's United Church - Hamilton (479 Upper Paradise Rd, Hamilton, ON L9C5E2). A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Hamilton Cemetery (260 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9B1C2). A reception was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1095 Woodburn Road Hamilton, Ontario L9B1C2.
In keeping with her life of compassion, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be directed toward child sponsorship through the Light to Life program, continuing Mrs. Ponnamma Easow's legacy of helping children gain education, food, and opportunity.
