Rachella Sergi Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachella Sergi (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on August 29, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francesco Antonio Assunto Portolesi and Maria Antonietta Strangio; her siblings, Rossario (Giuseppina Portolesi), Andrea (Maria Portolesi), Rosa (Domenico Sergi), Maria (Giuseppe DiMarco), Saverio (Giuseppina Portolesi) and Domenico (Teresa Trimboli); her parents-in-law, Antonio Pasquale Sergi and Paola Romeo; and her siblings-in-law, Maria, Saveria Barbaro and Domenico Sergi (late Rosa).
She is survived by: her husband Antonio Sergi; her children, Paola (Barry Erb), Maria, Caterina, Tony (Manola Zavarella), Christina (Cosimo Fiorenza) and Francesca (Robert Schaaf); her grandchildren, Marco, Sarah, Lucas, Rachel Louise, Matteo, Andrew, Anthony, Rachel Rosa and Dimitri; and her siblings-in-law, Francesco Romeo, Anna Sergi (Giuseppe), Elisabetta Ielasi (late Domenico), Caterina Agresta (late Rosario), Frank Sergi (late Jackie), Bruno Sergi (Marlena), Mike Sergi (late Jane) and Joe Sergi (Mary). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
