He was predeceased by: his uncle Ljubomir; his aunt Mica Prtenjak; and his nibling Milutin. He is survived by: his wife Savinka; his son Ljubomir; his brother-in-law Savo Mackic; his nieces and nephews, Slavica, Jelena and Milica; and his sibling-in-law Danica Prtenjak. He is also survived by family members, kumovi, and friends.
