Regina Bartninkas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Regina Bartninkas (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on December 31, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vladas; her parents, Vera Elena and Antanas; and her brothers, Remigijus and Antanas.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron (Ruta) and Ed (Joanne Clarke); her grandchildren, Peter (Hilary), Katie (Edward), Michael, Cody (Sofie) and Maggie; and her great grandchild Seth. She is also survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A prayer was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mercy Lithuanian Catholic Church (58 Dundurn St N, Hamilton, ON L8R3E1). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Saint John's Lithuanian Cemetery (2185 Stavebank Rd, Mississauga, ON L5C1T3). During the pandemic, she taught herself how to crochet and was a prolific maker of hats for newborn infants which she donated to the maternity ward of St. Joseph's hospital, as well having them delivered to maternity units in the Philippines.
In lieu of flowers, in person gifts can be made to Pagalba Lietuvos Vaikams (Lithuanian Children's Relief).
