He is survived by: his parents, Leo and Pauline; his brothers, Jean-Guy and Danny; his nephew David; his sister Connie; his children, Annie (Elvis), Grampie, Ella and Ava; his siblings, Paul (Moira), Diane (Fred), Denis, Susan (Rick), Irene (Richard) and Andrew (Ashley); his friend Godfather; his niece Emily; his children, Trevor, Lisa, Anthony and Jessie; and also, Louise and Denise. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Tuesday March 20th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Celebration of Rene's life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21st at 1:00 pm. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or Cancer Assistance Program (C.A.P.) would be appreciated.
