He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Newberry and Joseph Newberry. He is survived by: his wife Philomena; his children, Rob, Rebecca and Kathryn; his children-in-law, Kris, Chris and Romeo; his grandchildren, Ava, Maia, Marcus, Tavian, Gianina and Jade; his nephew Quintin; his great-uncle Roy; and his siblings, Carole and Paul.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (90 Garner Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9G3K9). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Ann's Parish (11 Wilson St W, Ancaster, ON L9G1N1).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roy's name to the Ancaster Lion's Club, whom Roy served with for many years with compassion and integrity.
