He is survived by : his wife Ana; his children, Kevin, Micaela (Ivan) and Bruno; his parent Fatima Dutra; and his siblings, Diamantina, Raquel and Celestino. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.

Rui will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends across Hamilton, Ontario and Portugal, In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, all guests must practice physical social distancing and wear a face mask or face covering.
