She was predeceased by: her husbands, John Nicolle and Warren Savage; and her daughter Marion Nicolle. She is survived by: her daughter Trish; her son-in-law Dan Zahara; her grandsons, George Zahara (Ratha), Tom Zahara (Laura) and John Haylock; and her great grandchildren, Alex Haylock, Michael Haylock and Joseph Gaudino.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (92 Hwy 8, Dundas, ON L9H4V5).

“The boys cherished visiting their Great-Grandma Ruth, also known as GG. As saying, Great Grandma was a little hard at a young age. Alex and Michael loved playing the instruments she had (especially the wooden xylophone) then we would brought instruments from around the world that the boys could play on visits. As they grew into men, they still loved her playing the piano and baking. She will be missed, but the amazing memories will stay with them. God bless! Rest in peace.”
